Cherry Picking

After the cherry festival we headed up to one of the many "pick your own" orchards in Emmett. We had so much fun and it seemed that in only a matter of minutes we had picked 10 pounds of cherries!

The view is gorgeous from the foothills that the orchards are planted on.

As we were heading back home we passed another cherry orchard that had some jam and chocolate covered cherries for sale. We just had to stop!

We've been eating cherries like crazy. I covered some with chocolate for my Bunco group and today I made some jam. My hands will be stained for a week from pitting all those cherries! And... we still have a HUGE bowl full! So later this week I think I will make a couple of pies.

OMGosh! It totally looks like Leona Valley! We were supposed to go cherry picking with Blake's playgroup today but, my good friend went into labor 3 weeks early and her husband was on a plane! So, we'll have to hit it another day. What a cute town! You were a brave Mom to let them go on the fair rides. Good for you! We are going to take just the two boys to Magic Mountain next week! I'm bracing myself already!

so you gave me this great idea and I went with a friend and all of our 7 kids to pick cherries today in emment at the same farm. Well guess how much 7 kids can pick? 50 lbs.
Now what to do with all these cherries haa haa

Hi! We were looking around the internet for a good photo of picking cherries to use on a brochure that we are creating for Merrill Beyeler, who is running for an Idaho State position for representative of District 8. We came across some of the photos you took while in Emmett, ID, and were wondering if it would be okay if we used one of your photos on this brochure? If it is ok, will you email us at dale@pmpstuff.com and let us know as soon as possible? Thanks!!

We would be more than happy to have you use our photos for your brochure. If you don't mind...we would love to have a copy of the brochure when it is finished.
Thank you for asking for permission first. Good luck with the campaign!
