Marie was one of my best friends all through high school and as the story goes....life and distance has kept us apart. Luckily we were able to visit and catch up this Labor Day weekend. Her son's football team played against Boise's Bishop Kelly High School and beat their pants off!!! It was an amazing game and even more amazing is that she has a high schooler! Aren't we still that age??? It doesn't seem that long ago that we were kids ourselves at those football games cheering on the team. We feel blessed to have had such a wonderful visit with her and her family.

A visit from a dear friend....

Money Magazine voted Boise one of the best places to live and for good reason. Boise has it all! Fine dinning, an amazing downtown, culture, country and farm land, mountains and open space. The Boise area also offers a large variety of outdoor activies. You get all of the amenities of the big city with a small town atmosphere and friendly people.

Two Weeks of Freedom!!!!

Ok, the boys are off in California with Oma and Poppa for two weeks!!! What am I going to do with all of this free time, you ask???!!! Well, so far the first 3 days, Troy and I have seen 4 movies, walked around DOBO (downtown Boise), ate dinner at a cool brewery on the outdoor patio, people watched at the Moxie Java outdoor patio downtown and basically got to know each other again! My plans are to paint the boys' rooms and catch up on my scrapbooking. We shall see if that gets done! I am much too busy during the day enjoying the gardens in Boise and Eagle and lunching with friends! So, today I am catching up on our blog so you can see what we've been up to this summer. That is all I can promise....

Pool Fun!

Fishing in the Boise River

We love to fish on the Boise River in Eagle. It is 5 minutes from the house and most importantly there is a Coldstones nearby to enjoy an icecream before heading home!

Roxy

Troy has been wanting a dog to hang out at the shop with him for a while. So, a Saturday morning back in February Troy and the kids went to the local shelter. They fell in love with Roxy! She has turned out to be a wonderful dog and we are so happy that she is now part of our family!
