Canyon County fair and Uncle Kracker concert!

Troy and I decided to head on over to the Canyon County fair after work to see the Uncle Kracker concert.
But first, I wanted to see the animals...to me that's what the fair is all about. Watching the kids groom and show their animals, the smell and those cute faces!

The concert was terrific!

He put on a great, and long, show.  Very impressed!
Having fun, just the two of us.  The boys will be back home from their California vacation this weekend.  So we are squeezing out the last few days of it being just us.  Seriously though...we can't wait to get them back!

We had a blast!  We don't do the carnival rides and games, Just watching everything spin around kind of  makes us feel sick, but it is all so colorful and exciting.  Especially at night!

Random pics of summer stuff....

I love these chairs. Usually they are around our fire pit, but they looked so cute all stacked up with my new bucket on top...
The blackberry and golden raspberry vines. The blackberries are almost ready to harvest.  I see some cobbler in our future!

Our Dr. Seuss plant. Not sure what it is, but it comes back every year and I love that!
My friend Laura gave these peppers to me. Not sure if they will produce, but at least I haven't killed them yet!
 Cute summer towels from mom...
 Pretty petunias...

A post for Troy

Troy mentioned the other day that I don't have any posts about him.  I said, of course I do, you're in almost all the posts!  He said...yeah, but no good ones.  Hahaha!  This one's for you hon!

Rockaway Beach

We really loved this little town on the coast!  Next time we'd like to bring the boys and my parents too...
While at the farmer's market we stopped for a bit to watch some guys tight rope walking. After he walked all the way across, without falling!, we clapped and he took off his hat and bowed!
All the little shops had such cute displays outside
 Yummy...we bought a bunch!!
So many flavors to choose from...
Troy couldn't wait to try them all!
I love the cute bucket I found at the market.
I will probably use it around the garden when I do my weeding :)
And of course that's Kettle Korn in there too!
  Our favorite restaurant!
A drive through the neighborhoods...while eating taffy of course.  My car was FULL of wrappers!

 The view...

Oregon Coast trip - Cannon Beach, Astoria and Seaside

First stop on our second day was Wheeler, OR.  It wasn't a stop we had planned, but I asked Troy if he could pull over and I'm so glad we did.  When I saw the name of this town I knew just the right thing to get my neighbor that was keeping an eye on the house and watching our dog.  Their last name is Wheeler...
 Such history and charm....

 and the flowers...beautiful!

These the most amazing hydrangeas I've ever seen!

The huge rocks all along the coast are amazing!

The second day of our trip was so much fun!  We drove all over and looked around. Troy's thing this trip was to drive up to the highest point he could so we could see the view.  It was overcast most of the day and the weather did crazy things to my hair...Haha!  But so relaxing and nice to get away from the heat.
