Oregon Coast trip - Cannon Beach, Astoria and Seaside

First stop on our second day was Wheeler, OR.  It wasn't a stop we had planned, but I asked Troy if he could pull over and I'm so glad we did.  When I saw the name of this town I knew just the right thing to get my neighbor that was keeping an eye on the house and watching our dog.  Their last name is Wheeler...
 Such history and charm....

 and the flowers...beautiful!

2nd stop
{Cannon Beach}

 Great lunch at Driftwood...

 The beach...

   Insomnia Coffee House.
I love how they used the old doors for the bar.

 So many deer everywhere!

  Downtown Astoria

 The wharf and museum...

 The Astoria tower..

The view from the top of the Astoria tower.

Astoria tower.  It was SCARY up there!

The house where the movie, Goonies, was filmed.
 Views from here...

Captain Flavel's house

The old jail and now the Oregon Film museum.  It was also in the movie Goonies and Kindergarden Cop.

These the most amazing hydrangeas I've ever seen!

The huge rocks all along the coast are amazing!

The second day of our trip was so much fun!  We drove all over and looked around. Troy's thing this trip was to drive up to the highest point he could so we could see the view.  It was overcast most of the day and the weather did crazy things to my hair...Haha!  But so relaxing and nice to get away from the heat.
